Genesis x Bracenet sneakers

Saving the oceans step by step? It’s possible with the Genesis x Bracenet sneakers! We created the world’s first laces from old fishing nets and used them to finish the ideal sneakers for all heroes of ocean conservation. Vegan, recycled, with natural materials and our ghost net Wadden Sea – can saving the seas get any cooler?

About the sneakers:

• World’s first shoelaces made from old fishing nets(HDPE)
• Vegan leather made from corn waste
• Insole made of recycled EVA foam
• Cork soles from sustainable production
• Seams made of recycled PET bottles
• Lining made of recycled PET and recycled cotton 
• Outsole min. 40 % natural rubber (non bleached) from sustainable cultivation
• Plastic free packaging in an organic cotton bag and a cardboard shoe box 

About the laces:

• Upcycling laces from former fishing nets, ochre yellow
• Ghost net cleaned in an environmentally friendly way by our partner Nofir
• Upcycled by Bracenet by hand in Hamburg
