Each Arctic Ocean Bracenet means one less piece of ghost net – and it’s also a conversation starter. Join BRACENET in spreading the message for the protection of the oceans and free them from the spook of nets: SAVE THE SEAS, WEAR A NET.

This size-adjustable bracelet fits any wrist – making it ideal as a gift. The sliding knots allow you to set an individual length between 16 cm and 24 cm, which includes all our usual sizes from XS (17 cm) to L (22 cm).

About the bracelet:

Strong blue
two-rowed, around 2 x 2,5 mm diameter
made from a piece of former fishing net (HDPE)
Wooden tube made of dark-coloured Hemu wood with engraved logo
Hemu wood is sustainably sourced from the Guger tree.

So far, we have donated €250,000 to organizations such as Healthy Seas, Sea Shepherd, Everwave, the Ocean Voyages Institute and many more. €150,000 of that goes solely to Healthy Seas – actively supporting the recovery of more ghost nets and preventive measures. The 250 divers from Healthy Seas and Ghost Diving are traveling worldwide, braving wind and waves, to retrieve more and more ghost nets They have now recovered over 773 tons – roughly equivalent to the weight of 6 blue whales. Our donations fund, among other things, boat rentals, safety training, and diving equipment. Thank you for your help!

NETS UPCYCLED

After retrieval, the ghost nets are initially sorted and cleaned with water by Nofir. Then, we process them with loving upcycling craftsmanship in Hamburg into many new products, such as Bracenets and dog leashes. So far, we’ve given around 190,000 meters of net a new lease on life – equivalent to the length of a total of 8,000 sperm whales!

To find your wrist size easily:

Wrap a shoelace, ribbon, or piece of string around your wrist.
Measure the length with a ruler.
Select size depending on how tight or loose you want it (about 1cm – 1.5cm larger than circumference of the wrist). The size measurements include the closure.
