Sustainable upcycling in local and fair manufacturing has been part of our core mission since the very beginning of Bracenet. Now we have partnered with the Hamburg-based label Bridge&Tunnel, which shares these values with us.
All new: Our upcycled cosmetic bag
Since you liked our Bumbag so much, we’ve decided to launch another product in cooperation with Bridge&Tunnel: We’re excited to present our Upcycling cosmetic bag made of used jeans and former fishing nets! The mix of blue and white does not only fit perfectly in every bathroom, but with its safety zipper, it is also perfect for travelling. In the inside pocket, you'll find enough space for all your essential products, the outer net offers quick access on the go. Ideal for your daily essentials, first-aid kit or toiletries!
Where we have old fishing nets, Bridge&Tunnel have used jeans. The denim-label receives the often, already torn jeans either from individuals, or from organisations. Any production surplus (pre-consumer waste) from other companies, that is created by imperfections in the cut or design, is also given a second life thanks to this label.
Bridge&Tunnel stands for design that changes society. In the heart of Hamburg, socially disadvantaged people as well as refugees who only recently came to Germany are upgrading their jeans by hand. Beyond qualifications and diplomas, bridges are built and perspectives created.
Like at Bracenet, there are no machines behind the products of the denim-label, but people, that lovingly handcraft each unique product. Fast Fashion belongs to yesterday, Slow and Fair Fashion is the future!
