Welcome aboard!

Lost or intentionally sunk fishing nets continue to snare marine animals throughout the oceans, killing millions of them each year. It's time to stop it!
With our partners Healthy Seas and Ghost Diving, we collect the “ghost nets” from the seas or intercept them beforehand, clean them and process them into new products in Germany and Portugal.

FROM THE SEA TO THE WRIST

Bergung Icon

Together with the marine conservation organizations Healthy Seas and Ghost Diving, we clear reefs and shipwrecks at depths of over 50 meters of lost or deliberately sunk fishing nets.

Reinigung Icon

After recovery, the nets are cleaned with water and processed by us or our partner Nofir. We usually only know what color the nets are when they are clean and lying in front of us.

Upcycling Icon

The nets are then processed by hand in Hamburg and Porto and made ready for shipping. Each Bracenet product is unique due to different net structures, colors and sizes.

IN DONATIONS GENERATED

With our products, we raise funds for marine and environmental protection. To date, we have donated over €272,000. This actively supports the recovery of further ghost nets and preventative measures. More to come!

NETS RESCUED

The 250 divers from Healthy Seas and Ghost Diving are traveling around the world to recover more and more ghost nets. They have now recovered over 773 tons—roughly equivalent to the weight of six blue whales.

NETS UPCYCLED

We lovingly upcycle old fishing nets by hand in Hamburg and Porto to create a wide range of new products. So far, we've given new life to around 190,000 meters of net—equivalent to the length of 8,000 sperm whales!
