Gulf of California – colorful, biodiverse, and endangered
The Gulf of California keychain is named after one of the most biodiverse marine areas in the world. Located between the Mexican peninsula of Baja California and mainland Mexico, the Gulf of California is also called the "Aquarium of the World" due to its exceptional diversity. It is home to numerous endemic species, including the critically endangered vaquita, the smallest whale in the world. At the same time, illegal gillnet fishing and habitat loss put immense pressure on this unique ecosystem.
Made from soft fishing ropes with macrame knots, the Gulf of California keychain gives marine material a new, durable life. Carefully handcrafted, each piece stands for conscious reuse and active marine protection.

products made from old fishing nets?
Our mission: recover ghost nets - save oceans
Millions of tons of plastic float through our oceans—including countless so-called ghost nets: lost or intentionally sunk fishing nets that continue to kill fish. Together with partners like Healthy Seas, we recover these nets, saving marine animals and habitats.
We then process the salvaged material using fair, local handcraft to create new upcycled products: bracelets, key rings and accessories – each one unique and with a story to tell.
A Bracenet is more than a bracelet – it is a statement for marine conservation.
With every purchase, you support salvage missions, prevention work, and marine conservation projects from Healthy Seas and many other organizations worldwide. Learn more about our mission and impact or discover our sustainable products now!
