Welcome aboard!

Lost or intentionally sunk fishing nets drift throughout the oceans, continuing to entangle marine life, leading to the death of millions of animals each year. It's time to stop this!

Together with NGOs, salvage teams, and partner organizations worldwide, we recover ghost nets from the oceans or intercept them beforehand, process them, and transform them into new products in Germany and Portugal.

OUR MISSION

FROM THE SEA TO THE WRIST

Bergung Icon

Together with marine conservation organizations, salvage teams and partners worldwide, we free reefs, coastal areas and shipwrecks from lost or deliberately sunk fishing nets.

Reinigung Icon

After recovery, the nets are cleaned with water and processed by us or our partner NGOs. We usually only know the color of the nets once they are clean and in front of us.

Upcycling Icon

The nets are then processed by hand in Hamburg and Porto and made ready for shipping. Each Bracenet product is unique due to different net structures, colors and sizes.

RAISED IN DONATIONS

With our products, we collect donations for ocean and environmental protection. So far, we´ve donated over €272,000, actively supporting the recovery of more ghost nets and funding preventive measures. More to come!

GHOST NETS RECOVERED

The 250 divers from Healthy Seas and Ghost Diving are working worldwide to recover more and more ghost nets. To date, they´ve recovered over 773 tons — roughly the weight of 6 blue whales.

GHOST NETS UPCYCLED

We lovingly upcycle old fishing nets by hand in Hamburg into many new products. So far, we've given around 190,000 meters of net a new life — that´s the equivalent of 8,000 sperm whales lined up!
