Welcome aboard!

Lost or intentionally sunk fishing nets continue to snare marine animals throughout the oceans, killing millions of them each year. It's time to stop it!
With our partners Healthy Seas and Ghost Diving, we collect the “ghost nets” from the seas or intercept them beforehand, clean them and process them into new products in Germany and Portugal.

FROM THE SEA TO THE WRIST

Bergung Icon

Together with the marine conservation organizations Healthy Seas and Ghost Diving, we clear reefs and shipwrecks at depths of over 50 meters of lost or deliberately sunk fishing nets.

Reinigung Icon

After recovery, the nets are cleaned with water and processed by us or our partner Nofir. We usually only know what color the nets are when they are clean and lying in front of us.

Upcycling Icon

The nets are then processed by hand in Hamburg and Porto and made ready for shipping. Each Bracenet product is unique due to different net structures, colors and sizes.

Mit unseren Produkten sammeln wir Spenden für den Meeres- und Umweltschutz. Bisher haben wir über 250.000€ gespendet. Damit unterstützen wir aktiv die Bergung weiterer Geisternetze und Präventivmaßnahmen. More to come!

Die 250 Taucher*innen von Healthy Seas und Ghost Diving sind weltweit unterwegs, um immer mehr Geisternetze zu bergen. Mittlerweile haben sie über 773 Tonnen geborgen – das entspricht in etwa dem Gewicht von 6 Blauwalen.

NETZE UPGECYCELT
Wir verarbeiten alte Fischernetze in liebevoller Upcycling-Handarbeit in Hamburg und Porto zu vielen neuen Produkten. Bisher haben wir rund 190.000 Metern Netz ein neues Leben verliehen – das entspricht der Länge von insgesamt 8.000 Pottwalen!
