more than 20 tons of ghost nets – so far!
In recent years, Sea Shepherd has been able to recover more than 20 tons of ghost nets from the Baltic Sea as part of the BALTIC SEA CAMPAIGN. Every year between June and October, patrols are carried out, violations of existing protection laws are documented and old fishing equipment such as ghost nets are recovered. With its work, Sea Shepherd makes an important contribution to protecting the Baltic Sea and its inhabitants.

from the seabed to the wrist
Some time ago, these ghost nets were still lying on the seabed of the Baltic Sea before they were transformed into your new Bracenet!
All products in this collection are guaranteed to be made from nets removed from the Baltic Sea by Sea Shepherd. Each product is dedicated to a specific sea creature. Learn more about the recovery process and the search for your unique bracenet at sea-shepherd.de.

the Baltic Sea and its inhabitants are at risk
The Baltic Sea is in an alarming state and is one of the most threatened marine areas in the world. The main causes of threat include eutrophication, overfishing, pollution, underwater noise and the advancing climate crisis.
The effects are particularly serious in the case of Baltic porpoises. One of the main causes of death is still gillnet fishing. The fine nets are barely visible underwater, the animals get caught and eventually drown. Dead porpoises are regularly found on the coasts, with injuries evident from fishing.

a bracenet is worth it!
Every Sea Shepherd Baltic Sea Campaign Bracenet means one less piece of ghost net. With every bracelet and keychain sold from the Baltic Sea Campaign we donate 1€ to Sea Shepherd .
With BRACENET you too can spread the message for the protection of the oceans and free them from the specter of nets: SAVE THE SEAS, WEAR A NET.
