Join BRACENET in our fight for cleaner oceans! Because we make your sustainable Adriatic Sea – Croatia I bracelet from the most dangerous type of plastic waste: former fishing nets. We recover ghost nets from the deep and intercept old nets from fisheries to prevent them from ending up there in the first place. Will you help us clean up the oceans? SAVE THE SEAS, WEAR A NET.

The Adriatic Sea – Croatia I Bracenet consists of a rope of former fishing gear from Istria, on the coast of Croatia. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Healthy Seas, these ropes were recovered by the Ghost Diving team during a salvage trip. We transform it into your personal upcycling statement for marine conservation – all handmade in Hamburg and Porto!

Made from ropes from former fishing equipment from Croatia (approx. 7 mm ⌀)
Baby blue with black accents (colors come from the real rope!)
Black stainless steel magnetic clasp with Healthy Seas logo (9mm), thicker than our conventional clasps

The 250 divers from Healthy Seas and Ghost Diving are traveling worldwide, braving wind and waves, to retrieve more and more ghost nets They have now recovered over 773 tons – roughly equivalent to the weight of 6 blue whales. Our donations fund, among other things, boat rentals, safety training, and diving equipment. Thank you for your help!

NETS UPCYCLED

After retrieval, the ghost nets are initially sorted and cleaned with water by Nofir. Then, we process them with loving upcycling craftsmanship in Hamburg into many new products, such as Bracenets and dog leashes. So far, we’ve given around 190,000 meters of net a new lease on life – equivalent to the length of a total of 8,000 sperm whales!

To find your wrist size easily:

Wrap a shoelace, ribbon, or piece of string around your wrist.
Measure the length with a ruler.
Select size depending on how tight or loose you want it (about 1cm – 1.5cm larger than circumference of the wrist). The size measurements include the closure.
