together for the seas

In cooperation with Malte Zierden and our partner organization Healthy Seas , we at BRACENET were on a two-day recovery mission in Croatia to recover ghost nets from the ocean.
With the support of Malte and Broder , both on land and in the water, we were able to successfully recover several huge nets from the ocean. During this challenging mission, we managed to free numerous marine creatures, including ghost crabs, rays, fish and even baby sharks, from the nets.

These abandoned fishing nets pose a significant danger to marine life and pose a long-term threat to the marine environment.
The recovered nets were then safely transported to the port, where we prepared the materials for upcycling.
This operation highlights how important it is to protect the oceans and what positive impact targeted actions can have.
your support helps
Your Malte Zierden Bracenet means that there is one less piece of ghost net floating through the seas and it can no longer threaten marine animals.
Your Malte Zierden Bracenet is your support for Malte. And what Malte does for animals leaves us speechless. His heart beats for them, his videos speak for them, his actions save them.
Your Malte Zierden Bracenet contains a donation for the oceans. We regularly support Healthy Seas and Ghost Diving - the two organizations with which we recover the nets - and many other projects to protect the oceans and marine animals. To date, we have donated over 250,000 euros. Find out more!

our mission
But how? We'll keep it short: We work closely with the marine conservation organizations Healthy Seas and Ghost Diving , whose volunteer diving teams remove the nets from wrecks and reefs in dangerous missions. We also process discarded fishing nets from fisheries so that they don't become ghost nets in the first place. Then we upcycle all of these nets into new products, for example the PAWDL Bracenets . These are bracelets with which you help to save the seas and animals in three ways :

wait a minute, who is malte?
Malte Zierden is known for his videos on TikTok and Instagram. He has won the hearts of the internet with funny recordings of train conversations, stories about his jaw surgery, skateboard falls and the living room for Oßkar, the pigeon outside his bathroom window. But Malte's heart beats for animals, and he has found his new mission in animal welfare: With Notpfote, Malte travels to war and earthquake zones, to Cherson and Hatay, rescues animals from distress and brings them to a safe animal shelter.
