In August 2017 Kenya introduced “one of the toughest laws” banning the production, import, sale and use of plastic bags. Our #ecofluencer Jenni was curious and visited Kenya to see how effective this drastic ban is. She had the chance to interview Charles Mitto Kosore who works in the directorate of ocean and coastal systems (OCS). Kosore has been awarded a grant by the Committee for Research and Exploration of the National Geographic Society as the principal investigator in the study of Marine Plastic pollution in Kenya’s Marine Environment: Assessing the Impact of Plastic Bags Ban.
Jenni is our ecofluencer with an unconditional love for our 🌊... and potatoe chips. She might not be much taller than a 🐣, but that doesn’t stop her from reaching for her goals, one little waddle at a time if needed. When she isn’t 🎥 about ocean conversation, she loves to step dance around the world or dives through the sky 🌤 Her biggest adventure yet was swimming with 🐋 sharks in Australia.
